The Goosey Moment
Don Shula spent 26 seasons as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins and led them to back to back Super Bowls in 1972 & 1973. On Sunday 14th November 1993, Shula won his 325th game as a head coach. No one before or after has surpassed his record. At the end of the Dolphins 19-14 win over the Eagles, Shula was hoisted onto the shoulders of his players and then onto a pedestal as he was carried around the pitch to take his richly deserved acclaim.
