The Goosey Moment
From hospital to hero in the space of 3 weeks, Luke Gale stepped up when it counted to become an instant Castleford legend and send the Tigers into the Grand Final. 2017 Man of Steel winner Gale kicked the vital points which levelled the tie with St Helens in normal time, but this was only the beginning of his night of heroism as the sides entered golden point extra time. After a miss apiece from Matty Smith and Gale himself, Castleford set themselves in good field position, after a good ball back from unlikely man Junior Moors, Gale set himself and the rest as they say is history. Gale took off down the pitch with the rest of the Tigers players in pursuit and the mass celebrations ensued.
