The Goosey Moment
An incredible Lions tour of South Africa in 1997 saw them leading the 3 match series 1-0 and with the scores tied at 15-15 in the second game the opportunity arose for Jeremy Guscott to become a Lions hero. South Africa had controlled the game but an awful display of kicking had allowed The British & Irish Lions to stay in the game. In the last minutes field position had been set and the English centre held his nerve and the pre-tour underdogs had the series in the bag.
