Jerry Rice became the all time leading touchdown scorer on Monday 5th September 1994; scoring 3 touchdowns on his way to surpassing Jim Brown’s 126 TD record. Arms spread wide with the ball in his left hand the crowd erupted as the iconic number 80 was mobbed by his teammates and held aloft. Before he called time on his career, Rice notched another 81 touchdowns and his total of 208 remains unbeaten today. This iconic moment is immortalised outside Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.
