Marcus Allen was named SuperBowl 18s MVP following a 191-yard, two-touchdown game, but the moment everyone will remember from this game is his 74-yard touchdown run, which gave the Raiders a 35-9 lead at the end of the third quarter. Allen took the handoff and found a hole up the middle where he proceeded to outrun the remaining Redskins’ defenders en route to the 74-yard touchdown. At the time, the touchdown run was the longest rushing play in Super Bowl historyand his 191 yards on the ground were the most ever in a Super Bowl.
