May 7, 1989, A date etched in the minds of all Chicago Bulls fans. Michael Jordan hits “The Shot” to eliminate the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the 1989 NBA playoffs. The series was tied at 2-2 and the decider was a tense one all the way through with lead changes back and forth. Cavs took a 1 point lead with 3 seconds remaining, but with Jordan on the court anything was still possible and as the buzzer sounded he hit his iconic foul line jumper to advance the Bulls and send the crowd into a frenzy.
