The Goosey Moment
According to many the greatest bowler of all time, Wasim Akram certainly has lived up to that title on many occasions over the years. The Sultan of Swing was a left arm fast bowler who bowled with significant pace, he holds the world record for most wickets in top class cricket, with 881, and he is second only to Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan in terms of ODI wickets, with 502 in total. He is considered to be one of the founders, and perhaps the finest at reverse bowling. England suffered at his hands in the final of the 1992 World Cup as Akram first took the crucial wicket of Ian Botham and then dismantled the lower order with another fine showing of reverse swing bowling.
